PRESIDENT: The president shall preside over all meetings, and coordinate the activities of the Bracewell Reunion. He shall receive reports from committees and make appointments where authorized. He shall encourage the other officers of this organization to properly discharge their duties.
VICE-PRESIDENT: The vice-president shall preside over meetings in the absence of the president and shall assist him in carrying on the work of the organization at all times.
SECRETARY-TREASURER: The secretary-treasurer shall keep a record of all meetings and shall handle and keep an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements authorized by the Bracewell Reunion membership.
This officer shall be the chairman of the attendance committee.
This officer shall keep an attendance record of each annual meeting.
REPORTER: It shall be the duty of this officer to write up and give due publicity to the activities of the organization.
Composition: This committee shall be composed of 5 members elected from the membership each year.
Term of Office: Each member shall serve for one year and shall be eligible for re-election.
Function: This committee shall, during the year after appointment, nominate from the membership, properly qualified persons for the various offices. The following June, the chairman of the committee or other authorized member, shall hand the list of nominees to the existing president who shall bring the nominees before the membership as candidates for election or re-election, including any nominations, properly made, from the floor. However, if the existing president is a candidate for re-election he shall appoint some qualified person to take his place, while he and all other nominees temporarily leave the room until a vote has been taken on all the candidates.
Election and Re-election: The members of this committee, having been elected the previous year, shall not be elected and/or re-elected for the coming year until their nominations have been acted upon for the year to come. After their nominations have
been handed to the president and voted upon, the floor shall be open for nominations from the membership for the purpose of determining the composition of the committee for the following year, the nominations consisting either of persons who were on the committee the past year or other persons.
All nominees shall leave the room until a vote has been taken.
HISTORY AND RESOLUTIONS COMMITTEE:
Composition: This committee shall be composed of three members, one of which is the vice president who will be chairman of the committee.
Function: It shall be the duty of this committee to draft memorial resolutions of deceased members.
It shall also be this duty of this committee to establish and maintain the genealogy of the Bracewell family and kin by sending out sufficient numbers of questionaires annually to the proper persons to obtain this information.
Term of Office: Members of this committee, except the chairman, serve for one year and are eligible re-appointment.
Composition: This committee shall be composed of the secretary-treasurer a s chairman and not more than two other members chosen by the chairman of this committee himself, with the advice and consent of the president.
Function: It shall be the duty of this committee to increase and maintain attendance of the membership and friends at the annual June reunion by properly reminding the members by written invitation, or other appropriate means.
This committee should work closely with the program committee and encourage attendance by publicizing an attractive, well planned program.
Term of Office: Members of this committee shall hold office for one year and shall be, except the chairman, eligible for re-appointment.
Composition: This committee shall be composed of not more than three members.
Function: It shall be the duty of this committee to see that the grounds of the reunion site are properly maintained and that all arrangements for the site are properly made.
Composition: This committee shall be composed of three members, who hold office for not more than one consecutive tern, so that no individuals or group of individuals shall necessarily be overburdened with the responsibility of providing a program for each annual reunion.
The membership of this committee shall be rotated so that different communities have an opportunity to put on a program.
Function: It shall be the duty of this committee to provide an appropriate program for the annual reunion.
This committee shall make talent surveys to ascertain the available talent.
