Grandmothers are all special women, so I would like to take this time to honor mine, Bertha Elvira Bracewell Grawl, Sr. She is a very strong woman and has lived not only to see many a change in the world, but also changes in life. She has enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 61 years, raised 2 fine sons, one of whom gave her 5 grandchildren, and now will enjoy the coming generation of her 2 new great grandchildren.

I often recall the many things she has shared with us; her needle point talents, home made cookies at Christmas, her recipe for the best cornbread dressing in the south, which is being passed down thru the girls, and even the shopping trips for easter bonnets as a child.

Grandmother is truly a fine lady and a treasure to us all.
