Departed this life in Baton Rouge, La. on March 13, 2016. She was born in Franklin County, Mississippi. She was an RN and taught nursing until hanging up her cap to raise her family in Spring Branch. She was a longtime member of Emerson Unitarian Church and the Texas Star Garden Club. She and her husband Joe moved to Baton Rouge in 1999. Ruth was an avid gardener and reader, an exceptionally sweet and gentle woman with a sense of humor that she maintained until the end of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Rutilious and Lois Adams, her son, David, and her husband, Joe Frank Taylor, brother R.J. and sisters Dorothy and Flora. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Emily Taylor and Chris Frink, granddaughters Helen and Camille Frink, and a number of nieces and nephews. Service to be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge at 1pm on Friday, March 18. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bedias, Texas.
