WHEREAS, on the 5th. day of May, A. D. 1943, the Great Architect of the Universe called to rest, Allice M. Bracewell, wife of Uriah Clark Bracewell, at the age of 72, at their home in Madisonville, Texas ,

WHEREAS, Mrs, Bracewell was born in Grimes County, Texas , November, 16th. 1871, and was united in marriage with her husband, Uriah Clark Bracewell August 28th. 1890, and celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary, August 28th. 1940, at which time numerous friends paid high tribute to their long life of service among the congregations of twenty four different churches her husband held pastroates at.

WHEREAS, despite her suffering, she remained cheerful with the same fortitude that character her entire life as the wife of a Baptist minister, and she was known for her self effacing service as a christian, always insisting on keeping in the background.

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bracewell reared eight children all of whom were at her bed side during her last hour, and the immediate survivors being as follows: her husband, Rev. U. C. Bracewell, seven daughters, Mrs. Lillie Morgan of Dallas, Mrs. Roy Hall, and Mrs. H. O. Eakens of Bedias, Mrs. H. L. Heath of Bryan, Mrs. J. R. Smith of Houston, Mrs. W. J. Isgitt of Madisonville, Mrs. H. H. Turner of Orange, one son, U. C. Bracewell Jr. of Bryan, a brother, S. H. Wells of Houston; three grand daughters and eleven grandsons, four of whom are in the armed services, and nine great grandchildren.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Bracewell was a devoted and loving mother and wife, and lived within her church, and was a source of inspiration and assistance to her husband in his services as a minister.

RESOLVED that the Members of the Bracewell Reunion now in session express our deepest sorrow and regrets on the passing of this beloved member of our Reunion, and be it further resolved that a coy of this resolution be delivered to her husband, and that a copy be spread upon the minutes of this Reunion this 6th day of June, A. D. 1943.
